i don't know where, maybe built into s-m or someone else could host it or whatever really. just thought it might be a nice feature. (you can tell i'm a rather impatient person - chat rooms are much, much quicker than forums :p)

It's been discussed before and it mostly boils down to the fact that it can't be monitered, bad stuff might be said and short-medias owners get's in trouble. That's about it i think. Other than that it would be nice i think though i don't chat much.

We have had some bad things/people come from mIRC. They bring arguments into the forums and all hell breaks loose. Nothing like a chat room will be sponcered by SM.

Trust me when I say the "riffraff" as you call it, would be looking and they would find it. Its at that point the problems start.

yeah i suppose you're right...however there is a feature on msn groups were the admins can select to review the applications to join the group...which would work but would also be a lot of added work for you guys. oh well, thanks for the feedback

Yeah, I see what you are saying, although I dont know who 'they' are, but you can never secure a room, only hope to remove a bad element asap.

I dont think the admins want to bother moderating a chat room and a forum together. There are mIRC channels already somewhat established if you want to talk to someone. But nothing is going to be official from SM.
