I'm just wondering if anyone has been into modding their vehicles from an A/V or data perspective?

I haven't done anything too elaborate but have put together a couple of projects that make my commute a lot more pleasurable.

Sirius Satellite Radio Install (http://siriusbackstage.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=9192)

iPod Automobile Integration (http://www.ocomik.net/projdiary.htm#ipodauto)

One of the earliest things I did (about 3 years ago) but never documented was to add a 2.4 GHz omni-directional antenna on my truck. This has actually proven to be real nice when I'm on the road and need to either communicate with my office because of some pressing technical issues or just to stay in-touch with my wife.

I'd love to see what other people are working on or hear some of the ideas floating around.

well i have something that i've been wondering about for awhile. my car has an old cell phone antenna, the wires for which run right up front through the roof and underneath my sun visor. the idea would be to mod that so that it can somehow serve as an extra antenna for my radio or even as a signal booster for a newer model cell phone. i really do need to look into that.

on the things i've done front, i drive a civic hatch and underneath the right rear passenger armest is a cd changer. the armrest pops right off and viola, its one of the cleanest places to install such things that i've seen
