It has been reported that there may be some issues with ATI's latest graphics chip when paired with Gigabyte motherboards.

Recevied word from Josh Walrath over at Penstar Systems that he has ran into some problems with Athlon 64 Gigabyte motherboards. The problem he is having sounds awfully familiar to the intro of the Radeon 9700 Pro with crashes. I've had the same problem he is having. What's even more ironic is that I was on a Gigabyte board as well. It was the i850E Rambus board though. Note to myself, "If you own a ATi card, stay away from Gigabyte".
...
This could be a serious showstopper for the user that just bought a new X800-Pro and have an Athlon 64 based Gigabyte motherboard. Oddly enough, the X800-Pro works fine on other Gigabyte boards, such as the Athlon XP based GA-K7N400 Pro 2. Also, the X800-Pro works perfectly fine with other Athlon 64 based boards, such as the Asus K8V-Deluxe.

That's right.

Gigabyte has always been pretty low in my estimations, but recently I can't help but feel they've gone from bad to just frikkin' terrible.
