Can I legally sell the WinXP license that came with my laptop? I'm an Action Pack Subscriber and have no need for the XPPro License that came with it.
What would I have to sell with it to keep it legal?
thanks in advance!

You can only sell the license with the hardware :( Stupid microsoft.

yeah but you can sell it with ANY piece of hardware. Generally I see places selling valid XP keys for like $70 and have some stupid like "includes 3-4 pin molex adapter as part of software license requirement" or some dumb thing like that.

But that only applies to OEMs.. Since tefleming (I think....) isn't a licensed OEM or systems builder, he's not allowed to sell the OEM license seperate from the entire machine that it came with originally.
He asked what was legal. By the letter of their bizarre licensing structure, he can't sell it without the whole computer.

You might wanna read the license just in case. You might have a spare rubber thing from the monitor or key or something that you could include and that might count. If you really wanna sell it check it out. The problem is the key likely only works with a special windows install disk and won't work with a general install disk.
