Good question. If it is the same for our new XP2500+, i'll be following this with interest.

don't change any of the advanced settings...other than those for your connection, if necessary.
if you're running the console, the shortcut should look like this:
"x:\dir\fah4console.exe" -ForceSSE
if you're running the graphical:
"x:\dir\winfah.exe" -ForceSSE
The xp's have SSE, and this will help performance if you get a gromac unit. However, AMD cpus have good output on tinkers as well as gromacs, so that's why you should leave off "-advmethods".

The latest 1.65 version of the gromacs core autodetects whether or not sse is available. It is no longer necessary for the -forcesse flag. I have them taken off on all my farm nodes. I currently have five (soon to be expanding to six) nodes all of which are amd 2400+'s. Two are thornton cores and the rest are t'bred's. They run sse just fine even without the flag present. If you are running the prog as a service, use the -service flag and -verbosity 9. That's the only two I run. If you are running the winfah version I'd recommend using only the -verbosity 9 flag.
