Trying to uninstall AOL!

hi there, thank you for reading my post. I am trying to uninstall AOL. I go to the Add Remove programs, click on AOL but it says AOL is running, and to please close it. But it's not running anywhere that i can see. What can i do? And why does it say it's running when it's not?

ahh, aol, if windows is running AOL is running, try loading into safe mode to uninstall it

when the computer is b00ting keep hitting F8 adn you should gte a menu
one option should be "Boot into safe mode" try that

Are you running WinXP? If so, hit Ctrl+Alt+Del, click on Task Manager and end any AOL-related processes, then try it again.

You could also try removing it in Safe Mode. :)

Whoohoo! thank you Armo and Pro!! i rebooted in safemode and AOL uninstalled fine.

Whenever i try to uninstall AOL , programme hangs and and task manager says "programme not responding", this happens every singletime i run it to uninstall it
