i have a mohawk that is about 6 inches long. a while ago regular gel didnt cut it, so i started buying this "hair glue". that has worked for a while, but its starting to tip over...
how can i get my hair to be stuck in place? suggestions?

Someone gave me a bottle of Paul Mitchell "Lab" glue and it does a good job, though I don't have a mowhawk :D I'm sure it wasn't more than $5 or $6. Ask some hair stylists about it too, because I'm no expert :)

Spray-on lacquer.
Lasts for days. Makes it nice and shiny, too.

Buy some clippers and don't worry about hair gel.

Egg whites. That's what the really cool kids use.
I'm not joking... Well, I am about the cool kids part... But egg whites for a night out on the town :) It's a bitch to wash out though.

Wax?
Knox gelatin from the grocery store. Put it in, hold your hair up and blowdry it. I used to use that and my hair stayed up all day.

Im going to have to second this. My buddy andrew used to have a different hawk each week. Tri-hawk, liberty spikes etc. He swore by his egg whites but also used toothpaste on occasion. thumbsup: :buck:
Joico used to sell a gel called ICE gel. I bought some without asking the stylist what strength it was, and I had to wet my hair under the tap to be able to run my fingers through it, less than 5 minutes after I applied it. It was wicked stuff. Try seeing if salons still sell it.
also, FWIW I had a friend of mine who had a mohawk in high school tell me he used shoe polish.
