View Full Version : More rice...
First up we have the Mitsubishi Lancer OZ Rally edition. With a 2.0L I4 that puts out a whopping 120HP and a massive 130LB/FT of torque, keeping this beast in check is a real challenge.
To that end, the owner, apparently finding that the stock wing-while quite substantial-was not enough to keep the rear of this front wheel drive car planted at high speeds, chose to remove it and replace it with an even larger, adjustable wing. He then set said wing to the "lowest downforce" setting. Although I haven't had a chance to question him about it, I'm quite confident that the owner no longer has problems with the oversteer that plagues front wheel drive cars.
You'll notice that he's also tinted the windows; not with just any window tint, mind you, but with special tint that transitions from black to silver. Obviously, this is to help the discerning driver determine whether the window is up or down.
The owner has also courteously thought to warn potential opponents of the tremendous power his car posesses, and his above-average driving skill. How has he done this, you ask? While it is not clearly visible in the pictures below, both rear windows prominently display "TECH3 performance" stickers. The passenger side rear window also informs us that the car's owner is a member of the legendary "Team Siclurion" and therefore must posess outstanding driving skills indeed.
Finally, the owner has installed a large diameter chrome exhaust tip, which is undoubtedly connected to a loud muffler. This obviously serves two purposes: it must add at least 25hp, and it serves as further warning to potential competitors that this is no ordinary Lancer. Nay, this is something to be both feared and respected.
Secondly, we have a rather stylish Nissan 300Z. The owner of this car has obviously put a lot of time and effort into making it something special, and indeed he has.
Now, the Lancer is certainly a very fast car, but with 223HP and a truly awe-inspiring 198LB/FT of torque, the 300Z is almost unbelievably fast. Although I can't find any hard numbers, with that kind of power, the 300Z is surely capable of accelerating from a standing start to 60MPH in under 5 seconds.
This is, no doubt, why the owner has added a large, Toyota Supra style wing to this fine example of Nissan's engineering prowess. Not only does it put more weight over the rear wheels, which allows for more traction in this rear-wheel-drive monster, it also enhances high-speed stability. And everyone knows that high speed stability is virtually a necessity for cruising at 150MPH+ on California's impeccably maintained and near traffic free freeways.
The owner has also put white wiper assemblies on both the windshield wipers and the rear window wiper. Color-coordinated wipers really make the wipers stand out; they practically shout "Hey, we're attached to this car!", and really complete the look.
The bra further enhances the stunning appearance of this fine automobile. Not only does it protect the car's flawless paint, it looks good doing it. The same could be said for the large mudflaps the owner has installed behind the rear wheels. The mudflaps are perfect for stopping all the gravel and tar that you'll fling up when doing those massive burnouts to impress friends before they can harm your paint. The owner obviously put a great deal of thought into the positioning of the mudflaps; they're angled out, away from the car, to catch every last piece of debris that might be headed towards your paint. Additionally, with the flaps canted out the way they are, they can double as highly stylish curb feelers.
The owner has also installed a body kit that is both functional and highly stylish. It has massive ducts to keep the rear brakes cool and happy during extended use at high speeds and full power. Perfect for keeping the brakes fade-free so that when you really need them (like when you see Mr. CHP officer hiding behind an overpass), they'll be there for you.
Finally, the owner has installed a banner on the front windshield that reads "Nissan"; this is a very addition, as it informs the unlucky soul in front of the car what that thing coming up on them like a bat out of hell is, before the Nissan rockets past.
Said banner also has two "skull and bones" emblems on it, which should be sufficient warning for anyone that this is the legendary Nissan 300Z, an incredibly fast and capable car that verges on a street legal racing car in terms of its capabilities. And, like the Lancer above, it should be both feared and respected.
//EDIT
I almost forgot to mention the window tinting. Although you can't see it in these pictures, the owner obviously is a subscriber to the "spare no expense" mentality, at least on his car. He went all out and got the expensive window tinting that's that gorgeous shade of purple.
You broke my sarcasm detector, it went off the scale  :zombie: Now what am I going to do when mrs keto tells me how much she enjoys (insert virtually any daily activity I am likely to partake in here) ?? ;D

Keep up the good work, Geeky. You just about have me convinced to invest in a big ole coffee can muffler tip and some mud flaps for my 240SX, along with the most uber color-coordinated purple wiper blades and window tinting to match my paint job! ;D :buck: I can't afford the big ole wang in the back though, but maybe I can just go steal a street sign and Krylon paint it and mount it. ;D :leet:

Never was tempted to say yes.
Hehe, back in my formative years, late 60's and 70's, it was all the fashion with cars, nearly any car, to jack them up in the rear. There were even station wagons that way. It seemed like all the males under 35 fancied themselves as drag racers.
Now what's worse: big useless wings, or the large, chromed wagon wheels?

That's ok, i was over in South Slurrey (one of the seediest areas in the Vancouver area) and I saw this beatup late 80's model toyoto mini pickup with hydraulics. The guy was right beside me and off a red light started bouncing as he drove off, I couldn't even hit the gas straight as I was nearly pissing myself laughing. God it looked retarded.
Edit, I'll try to get some pics of some local rice at my school. There's plenty of it around.

That's a shame - the Canadians are getting into this also. Darn, we've corrupted them again! :zombie:
