help please, im new and was told this site is really good with people that dont know sh!t about computers.
the problem in short .when getting my mail or surfing about any web site ill get a popup page. it only happens on my settings , i get this website *DONT CLICK*(porn link 1) and this (porn link 2)
EVEN WHEN I get my mail!!!!!. i use comcast cable modem and run ie.
loadedin my cpu is the current mcafee and scanned every 2 days,
spybot search and destroy and adaware6.0. and cwshredder and popup stopper.anybody know what can help???

okay updated and ran adaware and spybot.they both removed stuff. how do you get hijackthis to its own folder???i put it on my desktop . is that alright?also after i run the scan, where do i save it to.
then copy and paste in here??? sorry so stupid on this matter.

Open (double-click) your C drive and create a new folder, "C:\HJT"

Resize the C drive window so you can also see the desktop. Move your pointer over the HJT icon, left-click and hold and literally move the icon to the C:\HJT folder. (Make sure the icon you moved was the actual program and not a shortcut. Before moving, right-click on the icon and check "properties")

After running the scan, click "SAVE LOG" You can save it where ever you want, just so you can find it. A hint is to name it hijackthisJuly7 (or whatever to easily identify when you saved the log).

After saving, your notepad should open with the saved log. Copy the entire contents of the notepad and paste in a reply to this thread.
