I was browsing the Abit forums today and I happened to find this link. It fixed my problem with WinAmp and losing my rear speakers. A quick setting change and all was good.

Enabling hardware acceleration, or a buffer in the same winamp control screen may also resolve rear speaker issues.

I battled with that problem when I got my 8RDA+ a year and a half ago. Was annoying.

This did the trick:

Winamp setup tips - To use all speakers in Winamp, Select Options > Preferences > Plug-ins > Output > Direct Sound output > Configure > set it to NVIDIA(R)nForce(TM)Audio.
