Doom 3 has gone gold!

I'm sooo excited! Doom 3 has gone gold! I'm suprised I haven't seen any posts here yet about it! It's release date is August 5th 2004. :bigggrin: :bigggrin: :bigggrin: :bigggrin: I dont know about yall but i'm really excited about this. Here's the link!

I got quake 3 gold a while back to see what the fuss was about. Didn't rate it at all, I think I only played it for half an hour.

Doom III is predominantly a single player experience. It's going to be an awesome game visually and technically... hopefully the story & experience will round it out into a real landmark game :)

I hope (it's a pretty big hope) that since id has announced the release date of Doom 3 that Valve will hurry up and get Half-Life 2 out.

No, in that link I provided they say they are gonna release a demo after the game hits shelves. So who knows when we'll see a demo.

The original Doom is the game that revolutionized the FPS genre, taking it to the mainstream.
It's also the game that put ID software on the map.
It's successor Doom II was a great improvement upon the first.

The third game is set to blow everyone out of their seats and make FPS games scary again.
