I have in my box right now a gigabyte radeon 9200, and i have just bought a ATI Radeon 9800 Pro, and was wondering whether or not to wipe the catalyst drivers out before installing the card.

Should i?

Most definately wipe the drivers (utilizing the Rage3D Foolproof Method) and reinstall the newest version of Catalyst (4.7) for the best performance & experience with your new card.

Chances are that Windows installed the crappy OEM drivers that come with Windows for your card (which are inferior to the drivers available from ATI).
