well, i was searching for memory for my computer-to-be and i came across a problem. i notice that in some of the memory descriptions it has something like this "32x(some number)". my motherboard says that it supports 2100/1600 DDR266 memory but it doesn't say anything about this 32x* thing, so i was wondering what it was for and if i really have to be worried about it. I also noticed that the cheapest ram i can find are only compatible with SIS motherboards or something, but i found a 256MB one that sounds about right, for $30 however, it seems like the price for one of the SIS compatible ones but it doesn't say anything about the SIS.

Help is much appreciated. :Rocker:

32 (how big the memory chips are) x ## (how many there are).

Don't worry about that, but at $30 I wouldn't count on that memory being good or lasting very long.

Go with the Samsung.

Samsung is generally reliable. It is just not a top performer.
