Hi,
Do you guys overclock from the BIOS or do you use software in Windows to overclock?
Is the nVidia System Ultility any good?
My A7N8X doesn't come with overclocking software.
Thanks.

i always OC from windows, since the bios on the SK8V is VERY picky.
they have clockgen for the majority of chipsets.

Hi,
Do you guys overclock from the BIOS or do you use software in Windows to overclock? Is the nVidia System Ultility any good?I push my bios settings to the max just to get to the desktop and then the final push via software.
I find 8rdavcore (http://www.hasw.net) to be the most complete OC'ing utility for nForce based boards.
/edit: I thought you guys may find this funny: underclocking the XPM2600+

basically nvidia's utility does not make changes permanently , they r gone after restat, the only advantage is that u can check max. speed at that voltage and in case computer stucks u do't have to reset bios, so check settings with it if they work make them permamant though bios

*Poof!* And the thread was revived! And there was much rejoicing...
So, that clockgen dealio. How safe is it? I got the one for my mobo, pushed it a few mhz using it, and it worked. But it wouldn't work via BIOS at those settings? So what's up with that? And does that truly overclock the system or does it "overclock" ... meaning tweak some settings that shouldn't be?
