It logs how many keys and mouse clicks you've made and it ranks you. You just download the program, install it and let it run. It starts up automatically and sends info back (pulse) periodically. It doesn't log what you type, like passwords, credit card numbers or anything. It just sends how many clicks you've made. Some light competition for the forums. :buck: It's the same thing we did back in Icrontic. I've created a S-M team if anyone wants to join.

It just tracks how many keys you HIT, not WHAT you hit.

Maybe if I saw the source code I would use it, but until I see the source and compile it myself there's no way I'd knowingly install something like that.

Why not just use a packet sniffer or something? I have yet to hear of anyone getting their passwords or cc#'s stolen.

There are a total of 5 files: exe, uninstall file, a log of # of keys and clicks on each pulse, a Whatpulse.bin and whatfreq.bin. Thats it.

Uhhhhhhhhhhh is it possible to reset it? Since my last pulse at least? See, my volume buttons on my keyboard - broke them. Mashed them in so I just have to tap them to get them to work. And I've got 156,000 keystrokes, lol. And uh, I dun type that fast :zombie:. It *might* be another key, but idk. I'd hate to actually send in 158,000 in one shot :( I dun like cheating.... any ideas?

//EDIT: I guess you have to delete both .bin files. Stupid program. I wasn't pushing any keys, I realized, either. Also, I can't seem to record Key Frequencies...

*Update*
You might've (probably did, actually) noticed the WhatPulse servers were down. I think their servers did some unexpected moving or upgrades or something, I can't remember. But anyways. They, stupidly, only had their database backed up to August 23rd. So yeah, I've lost around 500,000 keys. Everyone else dropped pretty significantly, too. Just letting everyone know that it's back, and you've been screwed in the process, lol.

That sucks. They canned me for approximately 200,000 keys. 100k of which I submitted last night. Oh well.

You might've, it's quite possible. I also had something where the icon was going mad, and it turned out I hate several MILLION keys, but it was a key that got stuck down for some reason...only way to fix it before I pulsed was to delete the .bin in the directory.

That could have happened, I've had a problem with the shift key for a while..it's just I never noticed the icon goin crazy.

On the other hand I had like 4k clicks, which is odd as well, lol

Well I hardly use the keyboard for anything except for typing... It's the same in games... If we play a game that keeps those stats I usually have more mouse usage and everyone else has keyboard combined...
