hey ya

i was trying to install 64bit version of windows on my comp with 2 SATA drives (no raid).. during the installation i need to load additional scsi drivers, which is fine with 32bit but not with 64bit cu'z i downloaded them but they seem to be corruputed... its the silicon 3114 drivers... Folowing mesasage comes:

FIle \amd64\si3114.sys caused an unexptected error (1024) at line 2192 in d:\srv03spb\base\boot\setup\oemdisk.c

Have you tried to download them again? Also check their inf file and make the directory structure matchs.

i have yeah... if the directory doesnt fit (where would the drive letter d: come from since my hd's arent yet recognized) how do i change it, and what is it supposed to be?

are u sure u downloaded the 64bt drivers for the SATA?

yeah i am... got them off here... i have been going through a couple of forums, and mostly what i heard was that it is impossible to do...
