This belongs in the 'news' thread but here it it anyway......
Bob Hope, a true icon, the most famous comedian of this century, beacon to millions of servicemen and women for over 60 years, is dead at age 100.
He has entertained service personnel in every conflict since world war ll. An avid golfer and entertainer, his match will never be seen again in this lifetime. He got his start in vaudeville as a singer and a dancer, later moving on to bigtime comedy with Bing Crosby making numerous 'Road' movies keeping us all laughing as our forces were battling the evil empires of the times.
He lived a full life keeping us all entertained and laughing while the world fell apart around us, putting himself in harms way to keep up morale with the troops wherever they were.
I think the best thing we could all do in remembrance of him is to rent one of his 'Road to' pictures this week so that his contribution to us all will not go unappreciated........
Rest in peace Bob. You were one of a kind. :bawling: :respect:
