I want to get SP2 but need to ask some Questions!

Hi everyone, I am thinking about getting SP2 for my Win XP Home Edition but would like to know a little info about it first.

1) I'v read in this forum and some others that SP2 seems to find little problems here and there, is that true?

2) What does SP2 do?

3) If I do decide to download SP2, would I lose any files, work, games etc from my current SP1?

4) is it worth getting SP2?

umm, I can't think of anything else to ask but if anyone can add more than that would be helpful.

I just want to know what i'l be getting with SP2.

1. Having tested the crap out of SP2 for work, as long as you dont turn on the firewall you wount have any problems
2. Applies all the latest security protection
3. Not that I have seen and I have had to test updating from vanillas builds of xp and upgrades from SP1
4. Yes.

one last thing, if for some reason I don't like SP2 or have problems with it is there any way of getting SP1 back?

Yup. you can uninstall it from Add/remove programs.

It'd be nice if there was a way for dial-up users to get it. A friend of mine just built a new PC (based on my machine's specs) only he has dial-up, so it's an hour wait to get a 20 MB chipset driver, let alone a 280 MB service pack.

I'll be sure to get him folding though!
