USD's firewall

So, I've moved on campus finally, but with a few hitches there. I guess this school has a T1 line, but it apparently is firewalled and is preventing me from playing games online. I cannot connect to any servers, or can I even finger them, my ping is listed as 9999, and packetloss is at 69%. So what can I do to get around this problem?

Talk your network admins nicely and ask about it ;)

Trying to get round it will generally incur the wrath. Don't mess with admins (especially if they are sharp and know exactly what you are upto).

Shorty's right.... we call the senior network admin "god" for a reason.
