The FedEx guy dropped off my package today. Took 2 days to get here.
All 4 books ( The CCNA comes with two books ) costed me $115.08 shipped to my door. Which is a really good deal considering if I got them at the book store and paid retail it would cost me $169.97
I got the books from bookpool.com which has beat everyones price online and retail that I have seen. So I got some study material here but I got some type of cold so I don't feel like cracking one open to read. Got to get some rest and take some meds. I also got some bookmarks, lol w00t
If that wuz me, I'd finish just before my 93rd birthday ;D
I had a quick look through the red hat book.

Is it hard to learn computer stuff from those type of books, even if you don't like to read?

If you are like me then no. I don't really like to read books in general, but a computer book I can handle because it is related to things I want to learn and read about. I can still read any book, but I would rather read a good tech book.

If you sit down and read without being in front of a computer, it really sucks. If you are sitting in front of a computer and you actually do what you are reading, they work.

Prime,
my brain works the same way. Tell me and I just get confused...show me and I retain the info. Reading tech manuals on XP taught me nothing until I sat down and pushed the buttons as I read.
That is one reason I already have Redhat 9 installed, this books should show me a lot of commands and stuff I want to learn. It will be beside my linux box until I'm done. As far as the Network + book, I got it to basically learn more networking stuff and to refresh my knowledge I already have.
