View Full Version : dell truemobile 1150 experiences?
does anybody have a dell truemobile 1150 wireless PCMCIA card? i'm getting one and i've heard that they're just re-branded chips from other manufacturers... any experiences?
I think everyone just uses re-branded chips from other manufact. ;)
Its a Dell, if you don't like it, ship the sucker back! Afaik, they are fairly liberal on returns. I've never acually tryed to send anything back, but everytime I've asked about it I was told I had 30 days. Ask and see
awesome...i think imma ship it back, and pick up an orinoco silver a/b/g card. mmmm...multifunctional.....
I wish I had that luxury. I use linux, and support is.. umm.. ya know. I have to buy the right card or it flat out doesn't work.
Thats partly why I bought my lappy from Dell. Alot of written documention on hacking linux on it, and 30 days to decide if I like it (or to see if it even works in my case)

Sounds like my luck. Trading 6 for 1/2 dozen.
for reference dell can go stick their heads in a bucket, an aphorism that i have substituted for a more colorful epithet i was using earlier. im going to post my experience in the pub.
i'm sending the card back.
