Madmat is right - get mud. Yes, just dirt and water. It actually works.

When I was 5, I fell into a giant wasps' nest. This is not a joke - it was an entire bale of hay full of nesting wasps, and I fell into it from a barn loft. I got stung a total of 84 times and the first thing my old country grandma did was put me in a bathtub and cover me head to toe with mud. It worked. There was no swelling after a couple of hours.

Funny about the bee sting - my son got his first wasp sting on Sunday. It was on his forearm. Poor kid. :(

Poor you :(

Good news :)

I can't go near them as I got stung once as a kid and taken straight to A&E (accident and emergency) for a shot as I had anaphylactic reaction to it's sting.

For a second there I thought your folks made you watch A&E T.V. (Arts & Entertainment Television) as punishment for getting stung...yeah, that'd be enough to make me want to avoid another session. :D
Good news Jengo...I'm glad it helped.

I had that too. When I was a kid, I had to carry around an Epipen (an auto-inject syringe) filled with an anti-inflamatory, so that I could treat myself incase I got stung...

I learned how not to get stung... :)
