need dual channel ram info

hi ppl.

i want to knw somthing abt dual channel ram setup..
locally i dont have 2 sticks of dual channel ram that are packed in one packet... shopkeeper told me i would have to get two identical separate sticks .
what i want to know, when we use two sticks,,,in what way should they be identical?
model, version, latency, or what?
what things should be common to both rams...
what i saw here was, kingston valueram. noting else is availble

Yep, ideally they should be the same make, model, speed & timings. However I have run different makes of ram, same speed & set the timings manually though, successfully in dual channel mode.

so,if i get one stick now,,,,, then add the other stick some time after... so as u say, it should work fine?

yeah, it should work fine, provided you can get the same model "some time after"
