OmegaKiller Technical Problems

(sorry if this is a repeat of threads)

I just have a question about the OmegaKiller thingy. When I download it for my XP computer, it worked great! It fixed all the problems and killed the weird search bar and stuff.

But when I downloaded it on the Windows 98 and Windows ME computer, the program will always say it's missing a file of some kind, and it won't run. Is there any way you can fix the problem? Thanks!

unfortunately OmegaKiller doesnt run on 98/ME yet, im trying to balance my time between writing a working version and adding the new infection types at the moment, so it may be awhile till it comes out ... still, post HijackThis logs for us in the spyware forum and we'll have a look and show you how to manually remove the infections.

so my computer has the problem of restarting itself continuously. before when it had that problem, i would open up as many programs as i can to keep the computer running, so it wouldn't restart instantly. but now after i ran spybot on it, it wouldn't even let me go into windows before it restarts. do you know how i can fix this problem?

Oh, you never mentioned that you couldn't get into windows ... :confused:

You said that when you tried to download it and run it, etc.... Which implies that you are in windows when you are doing all that.....

Can you clarify your situation so that we can help you? You can't boot into windows?

ok, sorry about the confusion i've caused.

at first, my computer would have the problem of restarting itself maybe a minute or two after i log into Windows, but i could remedy that by opening a lot of programs, so it would take Windows a long time to process the programs, thus elongating the time i stay in Windows. Usually i would open Norton Antivirus, cause it takes it a long time to check all my files for virus, so i would have time to use Windows to do my work.

because i did that last time, i had enough time to download Spybot and Omegakiller and run them on the computer. i realized that Omegakiller doesn't work on ME, and after i ran Spybot i turned off the computer.

now when i tried to turn on the computer, it asks me if i wanna run in safe mode. it doesn't matter what mode i run it in, i can't even get into Windows. it would show the frame of Windows ME, then it would restart. it doesn't even get to desktop. so i don't know what to do anymore..
