Poor Man's Round IDE/SCSI Cables

Solution: Poor Man's Round IDE/SCSI Cables. Yesserie you too can have round cables just like the pros but without the hefty price tag. How you ask? Well just read on!

1] Go to hardware store and purchase clear plastic tubing that is big enough to fit the cables after folding cables in an "M" pattern.

2] Measure length of tube for cable, take in consideration where IDE cable "fans out" before plugs.

3] With a razor, cut a slit opening along side of tube and slip "M" folded cable inside.

4] Use black electrician's tape and wrap entire tube closed.

5] Enjoy hours of family fun with your new Poor Man's Round IDE/SCSI cable.

conviluded tubing will work also. But to get real cool. You can buy ribbion cable in a sheth. So it looks like you cable from your cable TV. Just add your own IDC ends and your ready to have a sweet setup

I wonder if all those 2"+ wide cables can be used to channel air past your CPU like fins on a plane. lol.

do rounded cables still cost all that much?

Well, they cost something. The flat ones are usually free. =) This way, 15 minutes and a couple of tools you have around the house and voila - roundish cables.
