I found HSA in my add/remove files in the control panel, and the only effect I can detect is how unbelievably slow my computer has gotten over the past few months. I have WINDOWS ME and I don't know how to take HSA out of my computer. I know nothing about computers, logs, or anything thereof. HELP!

Welcome to short-media. We can help you, but you need to do a few things first.
this (http://www.short-media.com/forum/showthread.php?t=14915) link will explain how to take the steps you need to get a "log" for us to look at. We need that log in order to help you, so you'll have to learn a bit along the way (which is never a bad thing :) )
Ask as many questions as you need to - nobody will attack you for that here. You are safe here, and by the time you are done, HSA will be gone from your computer. :)

I see Prime Suspect has already replied with the next steps for you to take.
He helped me on a similar problem, clear, concise easy to follow. Just be patient, take the time, don't rush the process.
