Well the clan bothered are back from their week in Wales. It was cool (as in not hot), and cloudy almost every day. The weather was really odd. It was almost always blue sky on the horizon and the clouds belting towards us but the blue sky never got to us? except at night! Every night the sky was full of stars but as soon as the sun popped up bang, the clouds were back. Still, it made a change and was good fun. Must remember to take some Lem sips next time.

end of whinge.

What relly gets me is as we were setting off home the sun came out (presumebly to wave us off)
Now were set for a bloody heatwave with record temps. At least I'm off this week as well, should have recorded the sea gulls and played it back while I doss in the garden.

Shorty... wtf are you talking about? AFAIK, ALL of England is dark, damp, grey, overcast, raining, cold, humid, and generally depressing year-round... not just Wales ;D ;D

Actually it should be noted that I like overcast, grey, misty weather w/temps in the mid 50s (preferably 60s) to low 70s (those are Fahrenheit)... maybe I need to move... besides, then I could drive on the wrong side of the road legally AND harass you guys in person :D

Geeky1, You already drive on the wrong side of the road. ALL of this jewel, this sceptred isle, This England is lush and fertile and green, Ah the mighty Enlish Oak, The badger and the Salmon, The hedgerows, The maypoles.
Much nicer than your tornados, deserts and Bears.

And bothered shoots Geeky down in flames...

Welcome back bothered, wher in Wales did you go, if you don't mind me asking??

I'd like to point out to Shorty that Stoke is the most depressing, poverty-ridden place in England, with the highest obesity rate, and no fit women. It sucks. That's why I spent a year in Germany.

I wanna go back to Germany!!! :bawling:

So come on all, Visit Stoke (http://www.visitstoke.co.uk), for all you holidaying needs!!!

~Cyrix

btw bothered, I'm soon getting UT, so I'll be able to join Team GB in the UT Tourney's. Maybe we should apply to The Sports Foundation for funding, so we can all leave our jobs and play UT full-time :D

Statisticly, we have more tornadoes per continent than you do because the breezes blow that stuff away easier on your country island than on our big continental land mass. Per square mile overall, we get about the same bad storm damage as you do I would guess. Just more suare miles and more hoopla here about storms adn the need for tings like doppler radar to track for earlier pinpoint warnings and better path predictions.

Where is the wry, dry, humour smily???? I would like a smiling LIME or lemon to show dry partly bitter humour with laughter at parts of my condition that bother me.... j\k.... :D

CyrixInstead, We went to Pontins in Prestatyn, Corny I know, but we've been there about six times because the kids love it to bits. I don't know if we'll be going again though as the kids are getting a bit old for it.

Red Dawn, Use it by all means though at your own risk.

Ageek, I believe we get around 40 tornados a year here but ours are altogether more civilised, being English, just gently frollicking in the meadows and lanes and wafting by.

The weather did that just to spite me. Either that or you guys are just trying to keep me from coming over there to bug you in person. :D ;D
