I'm not sure where to post this problem as I dont know what the problem is so I'm posting here.

Basically I upgrade my motherboard to an msi K8N neo from an asus K8V Deluxe. Now when ever I play CoD online, about every 2 mins the game pauses for about 3 seconds.

It doesn't do it when playing single player and its only when playing CoD online. I've tried re-installing the game, all drivers & os. I've also installed another network card and nothing makes any difference. I've installed the game on another system on my network & it doesn't do it. So I'm at a loss as to what the problem is.

Anybody got any ideas?

Cheers

Jim

I had a similiar issue with CoD when playing online a while back. Playing offline and across a LAN was fine but when playing online it would seem slow, and often freeze. After messing about with everything ie network cards etc I eventually turned the graphics settings down a touch and all was resolved. I dont know why using a higher graphics setting was causing a problem across the internet but not across the LAN and its definitly not the graphics card/PC not being up to spec.

The problem turned out to be a known bug between ati, Nforce3 & punkbuster enabled game servers. There are a few work arounds outthere on the net. thanks for the reply though.
