anybody notice this cpu @ newegg? I have my finger on the purchase button, but i want to know if this is just a mistake on neweggs part or what? what chip are they actually going to send me? a 3800+ for half the price!!!! it is the around the same price as the s754 3400+, but newegg has a seperate listing for those........i have to buy this now!

well, newegg switched it to 2.2ghz operating frequency from 2.4ghz which is what it was a few hours ago. still this s939 3400+ doesn't exist that i know of......i think it is actually the 90nm 3500+ b/c newegg doesn't have those listed but it has the 90nm 3000+ and 3200+. Of course, they have these listed with the wrong clock speed too.

Geez..newegg used to be better than this. :scratch:

Er I dont think newegg have got it wrong, you can now buy the A64 s939 3000+ & 3200+ in the UK. These are the new Winchester core cpu's. I've got a 3200+ s939 arriving shortly.

Check this article out for how they perform, they seem to be very good

yeah, yeah i know about the new 90nms.......but there is no s939 3400+....not even on amd's website.

Neweggg has finally adjusted their listings to the correct clock speed though!

but they still have this mystery 3400+ chip.....

The S939 3400+ is a 3500+ (2.2ghz 512K) with only a 800mhz HTT link instead of a 1000mhz HTT.

Stupid Huh? But if it drops the price I'll go for it. :)
