Hey im not sure where this topic fits in so im just gonna post it here!
Now its about the email server incredimail. I searched the forums and couldnt find anything
My question is, Is this Server Genuine? My parents have made it their default email server, and i really reckon its a bit dodgy! The name says it all!
Has anyone used it? or using it currently?
ANd does anyone know any other good email clients.
Much Appreciated
Brad

Incredimail is not an email server, it's a client program for email :)
Examples of email clients:
Microsoft Outlook,
Microsoft Outlook Express,
The Bat,
Mozilla Thunderbird,
Eudora.
Incredimail is a bloated and quite disgusting piece of software. What amazes is me that people actually BUY this software (as it's not free).
I would recommend Eudora (http://www.eudora.com/) or Thunderbird (http://www.mozilla.org/products/thunderbird/). Both are free, robust email clients with constant updates and support.
I wouldn't recommend Outlook Express, it's not updated often by Microsoft, STILL has bugs and is basically junk.
On the flipside, if they have money.. Microsoft Outlook has improved alot over the last couple of versions of Office. It's a strong, robust client with some really nice options (including excellent spam filtering).
Ya takes ya choice
just use gmail. www.gmail.com if you need an invite, PM me. I have plenty.

Where to start........
Sally and I use Incredimail and have done so for over 4 years. There is a free version available, which places a small incredimail link at the bottom of each email.
We use the "Paid" version and have no complaints. The reason a lot of people use it is because of the letters available to pretty up emails. There are possibly 1,000's freely available. The only problem i know of is when you update to a newer version. It's not as straight forward as your "Plain Jane" email programs. Sally is the one with all the knowledge on that one.
There is a program available called "Letter Creator" where you can create your own letters. For graphics you need to look far and wide to find better.
There are specific forums on the net just for Incredimail users and like this forum, they are very helpful.
I don't want to ramble on about Incredimail, so i will leave it at that.
Horses for courses i say.

Ya, so do I... I forward everything to my gmail account, cause I like the interface... I use it like a client.
