Software Distribution

Hi! Haven't had to post in a while due to all your help!!! I have a question about the Software Distribution folder in c:\windows...is it something I need or is it a bad folder??? I've tried to delete it three times (in safe mode) and it just keeps coming back. It has some file in it called reportingevents.log that makes me unable to delete it out of safe mode. Any help would be appreciated....Thanks!

It's nothing to be worried about. It's used by Windows for event logging. It's safe to keep. If you delete it, Windows will recreate the folder.
