Doute there goina drop that much the 9700pro is only $50 cheeper then it was when the 9800 series came out

About a year ago.
Introduce cards at $499 and let them slowly settle to $400 by the time you introduce hte next mod

I think that price is fully acceptable for highend hardware like this.
people said the same thing about the 9700 pro
there was also a shortage of 9700's too lol

2nd hand 9800 Pro and 9700 Pros are selling for ~ $165 & $125 in the various forums.
