System Problem Help Needed

I am encountering several problems.Whenever i need a new window to open up from the current,it will jam.For example, if i click open a new link in new window,it wont work. When i click start---> search,it wont work either.

I think the cause of this problem is dat i deleted some files which i tot was harmfull to my computer by using Hijackthis.
To make the matter worse, I deleted the backup.I tried system restore but nothing is restored.

Please help me.

What operating system are you using? If WinXP Pro or Win2000 Pro, you can perform a "Repair" installation, which will restore necessary system files and repair corrupted ones.
