My dvd rom is opening and closing non stop and i dont know how it started and i dont know how to stop it some 1 please help

try restarting your computer. Does it start before or after you get into windows?

I must say it sounds like you'll need a new drive...but turn off your computer, take out the power and IDE cables, put them back in, and see if it fixes the problem.

It also sounds to me like you need a new drive.
