try changing your settings in 'tools' - 'internet settings' security tab. There's some activex settings in there if I remember correctly

Update Quicktime. There was a hole in older QT versions, since plugged. Xp if you went to SP2 will block older versions of QT from working right, yes. SO, uninstall your current version. Then go to a site that wants QT. The site SHOULD trigger Internet Explorer to want you to get QT, and give a link to a QT download. AFAIK, what you want is version 6 of QT or as close to that as you can get for your Windows if you do not have XP Original, SP1, or SP2 and instead have something earlier. BUT, QT 6.0 will work fine with XP, and it is compatioble with SP2 in XP. I have used it here, and in Firefox from within XP. Installer is nice, but I think you end up with iTunes also, which I have never used. One of the things that got patched in 6.0 WAS the ActiveX components in QT.

QT=Quicktime, for any readers who do not understand my abbreviation, and it is available from APPLE for Windows and MacIntosh and MACOS and Apple OSX boxes.

Hi! Try removing any old versions of QuickTime you have and try again.

In the 1st pic its says "setup cannot open the destinatin file 'C:\WINDOWS\system32....' why is it installing from the 'system32' folder, shouldn't it be in 'Pregrame Files' or something?
