I need to DL an uncorrupted explorer.exe file for Win98. I can only access that PC under DOS, so I want to DL it to a floppy and copy it that way. Anyone know where I can DL that file? Or does anyone out there run Win98 who could post that file for me to DL? Thanks.

The 98 SE Explorer.exe CAN be used for both 98 and 98 SE. Have done so. One does not have to EXT(ract) the .exe from the install CD or cabs (which I have also done, from DOS). For those of you used to Win2K and NT and XP, Extract was used instead of Expand in earlier Windows, including 98 and 98 SE to get files unarchived and copied back into right place on HD.
To kickskass, one thing that can corrupt this .exe file is virals, suggest a virus scan and a malware check also, ESPECIALLY if you find other corrupt .exe files on the computer. I have seen virals trigger a corrupt Explorer.exe when another exe or exe's is in fact infected also. Blaster, amongst other local worm things, has done this.
