"Hop on Pop" and other Seussian nightmares.

Running Windows 2K. Massive pop-ups. Ran Spybot and Ad-Aware and cleaned it up.

Also, whenever I open my task manager, it automatically closes itself within half a second of opening the program.

Boot into Safe Mode the do the following:

Fix those entries then find and delete AOLMSNGR.exe, boot into normal mode, and post a new log.

You have a CWS infection too.

Download CWShredder from here (http://computercops.biz/downloads-file-349.html) and run it. Select the fix button & it will fix everything related to CoolWebSearch that is stored in it's database. Close ALL windows, including Internet Explorer, before running CWShredder. Reboot.

To help prevent this from happening again, install the patches for the vulnerabilities that this hijacker exploits by going here (http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/) for your critical updates.

Scan with hijackthis and tick the boxes next to all the following entries, then close all browser and explorer windows, and hit the "Fix checked" button.
