I was wondering how I could uninstall a second OS on a second Hard Drive. I am running XP but have 98SE on a second drive and want to get rid of it and reformat the drive. Here is my problem though, i have some programs on the drive that I want to keep, so I was going to paste them on the other drive until I get the second one reformatted but I dont want to keep 98. I dont need any of the programs ran by 98. How would i go about doing this?
thank you for your time.

You can't just backup programs like that (well some). Especially from 98 to XP. The OS is a bit different. You need the original installation file/disc (which if it's from the time of 98, it's probably won't work with XP anyways).
Are the programs you want from that drive installed on XP now? And you just want to move the drive they are installed on from the one you want to format? Thats something you can probably fix with a registry editing tool. Otherwise.... what blackhawk said.

OK I dont have anything on the drive at all now, I have cut my loses and may need to reinstall some stuff, but it still will not let me format the drive either through computer managemant or just right clicking in my computer. It tells me that something is using the drive but there isnt anything left in it to use...

Try using a bootdisk (http://www.mirrors.org/archived_software/www.bootdisk.com/winfiles1/boot98se.exe).
