I'm looking to know a little more about Wacom Tablets, and things like them. Such as what's the best, prices for a decent one, and their usefullness.

If I recall correctly, most of the people on DLCSS use the Graphire or the Intuos. As far as use goes, mice and tablets are lightyears apart; I had the chance to use a massive graphire Studio XL (~A5 paper size drawing area), and the ease of colouring pieces, or cutting objects out was the most amazing thing -- I honestly wish I had one, because the mouse just doesn't cut it after getting to use one.

If hardcore photoshop work is your thing, particularly illustrations or colouring, it's great to have one. If you're more into photo retouching, or image manipulation... Its usefulness seems to dip (Atleast in my eyes).

As for prices, eh. Dunno.

All I can truely say is that if you buy one, make sure it isn't a small one. I'd get an 8x11 version. Pretty much any Wacom Tablet is nice to have, but mine is too small for my big hands or something. Mine is like 3x4"

Wacom are industry standard. However, there are more economical versions. Try Trust and Genius. Makes but a good alternative.

Just get a tablet PC, then you can draw right on the screen.
