Tomorrow is the first day in my job. Im nervous but excited at the same time. A totally new, fun challenge. I am really looking forward to it. Even though I am going to be the n00bie ;D
I've settled well into my new home & city. I can safely say I love this city more than I ever did Cambridge. It's more friendly here, more bustly and less pretencious. I am also lucky to have some really good friends around here to help me settle in and get over the culture shock :)
So Il say thanks to you all for your support when I bitch in threads about how much I hated my old job, answered my calls when I bitched about how much I hated Cambridge and for asking how I am doing now :cool: I love this place, it rocks!
Special thanks have to go to (in no order of preference and apologies for leaving anyone out...)
Bothered (and family) for making me so welcome in their home over xmas. For making sure I was settling in ok and for making sure I didn't get lost in my first few weeks in Manchester.
Kwitko for the late night calls & advice.
Primesuspect, Necropolis & -tk for listening to me when I was depressed and hating my situation. You guys kept me sane over the worst months. Honestly, prime is my spiritual leader with his "do this and do that and don't lose belief in the future".
MediaMan for his eternal "It will work out in the end, honestly I know it" optimism.
Thrax for this "you will show them all, mark my words" assurance
Jella Biafra & his wife for putting me up for the few days before I moved. Man I am gonna miss you around the new work, you crack me up.
