what a day I've had.

1) My cat was diagnosed with a potentially fatal disease

2) My (same) cat was also test for another DEFINITELY fatal disease. Symptoms point to this second disease. I will find out lab test results tomorrow.

3) I was slapped with a $300 bill for them to tell me that my cat is probably going to die

4) If my cat is not diagnosed with disease B, he still has disease A, which can be treated with a long, rigorous course of antibiotics and a BLOOD TRANSFUSION, which can only cost lots of money, I'm sure.

5) I have no money

6) My new car has been overwhelmed with a wretched smell the last two days. One of the kids got into the back with dog crap on his shoe, it rubbed into the floormat, and then water was standing in there for two days, fermenting. It smells like you think it smells. So I go out there in the freezing cold to diagnose the source of smell, discover it, and bring it in the house to clean it. Dirty, cold work.

7) I go downstairs to throw the now freshly cleaned floormat into the dryer for a second, and WATER IS ****ING POURING FROM MY CEILING. I mean, like "it's raining, it's ****ing pouring"

8) I am standing there, starting to laugh because I'm about to go nuts

9) I throw the floormat into the dryer anyway, and find a gigantic puddle of cat piss on the floor - something he would never normally do, but he's sick :(

10) I decide to ignore it in favor of discovering what pipe burst in my house

11) The main kitchen sink drainpipe has DISENTEGRATED. I cannot explain it better than that. I can't believe it didn't leak before now. Now, there is a gaping five inch long hole in the drain pipe where the bottom just FELL OUT.

12) I notice food chunks under the sink, since the garbage disposal had just been run a few hours ago, obviously AFTER the pipe broke... It looks like someone upchucked under my sink.

13) my hands stink from all this crap.

sigh.... just needed to vent. But hey, I have my health, my family, my house, my business, and food in the fridge... I'm all set :)

Wow dude. That has to be one of the funniest, most stressfully insane days ever ;D

Hope everything starts heading up for you. All I can say is that you have way more patience than me. If it was me, I'd've just walked out of the room laughing as hard as I can, then probably end up breaking something else in frustration ;D

Seriously sucks about your cat, though :(. Our dog has a hip disease that can be fixed with $5,000 surgery, and even then it isn't guarenteed. We love her to death, but that much on an already old dog is just too much, no matter how hard I try convincing my parents. So I'll have to go through the same thing (minus the hilariously crappy chain of events ;D) pretty soon. Sorry to hear that, man :(

Oh wait, i forgot one... A big one...

On my way back from the vet, my cat pissed in my car... This is a brand new (under a year old) toyota matrix.... Now it smells like rotten mildewed dog**** water AND cat piss. Yay!

:wtf:

What a day dude! I've had them bad like that before too, but never quite so much at once. Sorry about the cat especially...we have a small zoo running here, so I can sympathize with pet deaths or imminent ones in this case :(

Here is what my cat has been diagnosed with:

Hemobartonellosis (http://www.vetinfo.com/catpara.html#Hemobartonellosis).

Here is what my cat probably has, pending lab results:

Feline Infectious Peritonitis (http://vetmedicine.about.com/library/diseases/blcat-fip.htm).

:(

Poor kiko..... :( He's one of the most affectionate cats I've ever had. He's been nothing but gentle and loving, even with two rowdy little boys and snuffie the Most Present Dog Ever.

I hope you and the family find a way soon to cope with the cats poor health. Perhaps you can get one of those plastic drain pipes for the sink. They aren't to hard to replace just lots of patience.
Really sorry about all the cat fluids that's not any fun at all. My cat seems to puke on what ever new thing is handy... ugh.

Sorry to here about your rough day. I hope everything will calm down.
As for the smells take the mats to a do-it-yourself car wash and power wash them... then attack them with some febreze http://www.homemadesimple.com/febreze/products/auto.shtml

Ego: Yeah, his death is imminent, euthanasia is the best course of action. I'd rather give him a good death than a painful, rotting one.

Yeah, sorry to hear about your problems prime, but euthenizing the cat once his quality of life degrades beyond a certain point is the best decision. It's a real difficult choice to make but it's the right choice.

I really hope the rest of your day goes better. :)

It sounds like the events of the day might make a pretty funny movie, though.

I might be putting my cat to sleep here in a couple weeks :/ we'll see. She developed some mouth infection/disease (don't know specifics) but she hasn't been eating lately and lost one of her canine's. On anibiotics now & soft food..we'll see how she does.

I agree with having the cat put to sleep. Its the best thing for it in the end.

Sorry about all your 'luck' Brian.

I had to put my cat down a few months ago. She had lung cancer that went undiagnosed because of an idiot vet we used to have. Hard to do, but it was the best thing for her.

I lost my cat and 2 dogs all within the last year or so.. sometimes you just gotta put them down as it's the only humane thing to do... Glad that you care enough to not put them through the medical treatments just to see them live despite the drop in their quality of life.

As for your house, perhaps it's time to move?
