Me and khan are sitting in a tattoo parlor watching our friends get piercings. This is the obligatory thread commemorating the event. One got an eyebrow and the other got a nose piercing.

I will say this, though: the piercing isn't necessarily with you for life, like a tatoo is. Well, tattoos can be removed, but it's a lenghthy, expensive process.

When a bit younger, to me tats seemed pretty cool. I wanted to get a falcon, eagle or panther. Later on thinking that I would be with that thing when I'm 75yrs old, kinda put it off for me.

Besides, Blackhawk is similarly disinclined to get one as animated boobs for a tattoo simply isn't possible yet.

This is just in confirmation. A whole bunch of us came along for moral support for these two girls we know getting their piercings done. drasnor, the ever-prepared, whipped out his laptop, got online through his cell phone (data connection), and started IM'ing people (Geeky was talking to him, I saw). I just made him post a thread because he was online in a damn tattoo parlor and I thought it was hilarious (and typical of drasnor).

Myself, I don't care for tattoos, piercings or even jewellery. I am completely unadorned.

I don't need to make an impression that way, when I walk in a room, you just know I'm there :D

One thing kinda put me off in my early years whilst filling in a form at the local nick for some minor transgression (I was 17 at the time, hey, it's no big deal): 'Any distinguishing marks?'

Annonyminity is good.

I did wear a silver hoop earring for a while though, some female I was seeing thought it would look good. Long gone, both her and the earring.

I watched a friend get her clit pierced once. It was one of those moments where my balls just weren't there for me. As I watched the process take place, although it took all of a second, I just stared without blinking. Some wrinkles formed on my forehead, and just after a single tear rolled out of my blinkless eyes down my cheek, like the indian that watched the white man ruin his land with tall bud ice cans.

Having the foreknowledge that the cliterous is made out of the same type of tissue that makes up the head of my penis, I stood without moving in a state of enlightened lacrimation.

I later went home, took a few shots of vodka, and attempted to pierce my own nipple with a safety pin. It was a success, but I took it out a few days later. It just wasn't getting me laid like those kids with their fancy metal studs.

none of that was true. it jsut sounded funny and i felt like writing it. i really have no piercings or tattoos. the want for both has come and gone, and in the end the biggest thing i ever did was grow out a 6 inch long mohawk. other than that im just your average joe.

Don't wanna get too heavy, but....

A black mate of mine hates tattoos, he has West Indian roots.

He figured that they used to tattoo slaves with ID's for the sea crossing.

No tattoos = freedom, in his book. I told him he should lighten up, this is 2005.

He's cool, he laughed, but hey, food for thought.

They also tattooed ID's on Jewish prisoners in concentration camps.

All I got is a few scars, kinda proudly earned, for the most part :D
