Have you ever wondered if your mind is normal? Well, do this little mind exercise and find out ---- Free will or synaptic wiring? You be the judge.
Check out the following exercise, guaranteed to raise an eyebrow. There's no trick or surprise. Just follow these instructions, and answer the questions one at a time and as quickly as you can. Again, as quickly as you can but don't advance until you've done each of them...really.

Now, scroll down (but not too fast, you might miss something)...

If not, you're among the 2% of the population whose minds are different enough to think something else. 98% of people will answer with carrot when given this exercise.

Technically a fruit is a vegetable. So a tomato, whilst it is a fruit, would be correct.

I was halfway through thinking "cucumber" when carrot popped into my head.

I saw this a long time ago, just totally forgot about it.

A vegetable is any edible plant matter. A fruit is a specific type of vegetable, defined as being the rippened ovary of a flower.

I thought of a carrot.

I think it's just that when you tell an American to think of a vegetable, they will usually say 'carrot'. I don't think it has anything to do with the numbers, and I don't think it will work as well on the Brits

The Hostess

i came up with pea pods !!

honestly for a second i felt too much pressure and my fruits and veggies
were confused in my head. ;D

I'm an idiot, I thought of an orange... :shakehead

But I did this test before already, and I was trying to remember the ending so I was going a bit too fast and forgot a VEGGI IS NOT A FRUIT!!!!! At least not in this context or whatever.

GOD!!!

yeah, what Cb said.... any fruit is a vegetable, but a vegetable is not necessarily a fruit.

heh, I had to look up necessarily on dictionary.com. Jesus.

also, I thought of a carrot and I'm a brit... I think it's just most people will think of carrot when you say 'think of a vegetable'
