I got me a new Maxtor 120GB, 8MB cache, 7200RPM, ATA133 hard drive for use as storage. My current drive I have is a Western Digital 20GB ATA66 5400RPM used as storage, I have 3.41GB left of free space.
Cost me $118 from NewEgg. Has not been recieved yet, should get monday or so

I just did the same but to the 80gb version as an upgrade from an old 13gb slow thingy, pretty pleased with it so far noticed some nice performance increases and no apparant reliability problems but its still new :)
I like Maxtor a lot, i have 2 80gig sata versions, really fast but run hot, i believe Western Digital have the 10,000rpm drives out now.
My main rig has just the 80gb 7200 WD hdd. I also have a 60bg Segate installed but it isn't hooked up yet, no need for it, I might pop it into the rig I'm trying to put together now. I don't really have that big of files anymore, and since I don't play games at all anymore then my hard drive space is pretty good.

I thought about using the old Western Digital 20GB to run Linux and remove my Zip250 since I never use it, and place the WD where the Zip 250 is

Use the MaxBlast 3.0 utility and keep PowerMax on hand for diagnostics. I'm a crazy Maxtor fan:

Oh, and I am going to install Mandrake Linux on the 20GB Western Digital as well.
I ran linux as a dual boot with windows 2k a while ago on my second rig. Now I'm dual booting with server 2k3. I would do the same, if you don't use the zip 250 since you don't use it anymore.
