Stay Thin by Sleeping More (http://uk.news.yahoo.com/050111/80/fa1oe.html) :D
Edit: Can't change ? to !. Can a mod do it.
I think it's because the longer you're awake, the longer you're susceptible to and more likely to act on the feeling of hunger (Be it internally determined, or externally).

Yeah, i'd have to agree, I'm be on the brink of death from lack of body weight if more sleep = less weight

Personally, I think the causal relationship, if there is one, is reversed from what is implied. Overweight people probably sleep less because they're overweight, rather than people losing weight because they sleep more.

I have every reason to believe otherwise. Overweight people are generally more tired, and sleep longer than someone who isn't overweight.
It does sound pretty dubious, but I wonder what the root of the correlation is?

What about overweight people having more blood and thereby having more white blood cells and therefore are not sick as often? Does that count as equal BS? ;D

I do remember reading somewhere that a person watching tv on the couch actually burns less calories then a person in REM sleep. Makes sense to me....
