Zone alarm issue

I recently downloaded the free version of zone alarm. I am using sbc yahoo dsl for my internet connection. Upon completing the setup of zone alarm it is not allowing me to go to my home page. Does anyone here have any idea why this is and how I can repair this?

What happens when you try? Does it just give a blank page and say it's not available?

What happens if you temporarily disable zone alarm and try? :)

I figured out what was causing that problem but it began to not let me access the internet at all. I uninstalled zone alarm and I am able to access the internet. Not sure what is causing it to block all traffic (incoming and outgoing). I've went through the configure stage as to set certain programs be allowed to access the net but still nothing. Currently not running ZA on my system.
