Mine's a v 1.2 I THINK... I'm not sure about that, but I do know I specifically made sure it was a version that could take a 2200+ when I bought it, and it's running the Barton fine...

Good, no need to upgrade.

You'll want to wait until the KT600 chipset arrives (& prices drop on the NF2 Ultra 400)
