AVG wont update

ITs wierd i installed AVG and it wont update. Says internet connection failed please check your hardware settings, YET i am online typing this. WTF? :wtf:

I'm having the same problem here as well. I've noticed that at home and at work, since updating to AVG 7 (free edition) just before christmas, getting access to updates is a hit and miss affair. I should imagine that it is a problem with their update servers. Just to be sure, make sure sure that the AVG update manager is not being blocked by any sort of firewall. If you need to update urgently, you can download an update file directly from here: http://www.grisoft.com/us/us_updt7.php and update AVG using the update from folder option.

I think the free update service was down for some reason, my dual boot linux box/98 se had the same issue, but then the next day all was fine, updated no problem......I boot to 98 se every now and then, just to update the viurs stuff.....linux don't care ;)
