Delivered to my door late tonight was a big box containing the final parts of Keith's Whitsitt's computer. SM23 will be munching on WU's by tomorrow night, guaranteed.

Keith, you always said you would be "folding for life" with #93, well, even in death, you're fulfilling your vow. :fold:

Whew! So glad it got there okay! I was really stressing about the shipping part. Now that it's safe with you, I feel totally confident :D

Alright, after closer examination, I'm surprised it was even running at your place Brian. The motherboard mounts are crushed and the board was lying on the mounting tray at an awkward angle. They really butchered things up with the original ship. I have stripped it right down because it needs to be totally rebuilt. This computer definitely needs some TLC, which it will get with me.

So here is SM23 prebuild, notice the fine looking shirt in the background over the chair, thx Prime! :)

Totally awesome.

I too, was shocked that it ran, and folded for 4-5 days straight, in the condition it was in. When I first got to it at Keith's mom's house, it was totalled. I was thinking "the whole guts are going to need replacement" . I mean, that heatsink was just bouncing around in there. When I got it mounted back on, the first time I powered it up, I heard that lovely "pop" sound and smelled ozone, and it turned itself off right away.

Something died on that board, not sure what, but whatever it was, it obviously wasn't critical :D

When I got it back, I dusted it, tightened down the PCI cards and fired it up, and to my surprise, it turned on :wtf:

It's in great hands, man.

Glad you like the shirt ;)
