weird mouse problem

This started not too long time ago. I will be browsing a website. using the wheel to go up and down. When all of a sudden, BAM! it goes back to the last page. It seems that sometimes scrolling up with the wheel goes back and down is forward?

It is a Microsoft Intellimouse, ball type.

Also what is a good keyboard/mouse combo?? Is the Logitech LX700 good??

Don't know if this is the problem but AFAIK the MS Intellimouse (atleast the comobo I have) is set by default to use the wheel button as Next page. All you have to do is change the option in the mouse part in control panel.

yeah I went to the control panel and checked that already. It looks to be set so it just scrolls lines not pages.

Reinstall the mouse drivers?
